Another contest I was invited to participate in-- by Attache who has also commisioned me!

This is Life and Death-- again. For a while now I had wanted to redo the couple and had worked out a few comps but when I saw the references for Vannessa Lake I knew she'd be the perfect model for this.

I got a lot of inspiration from Frank Franzetta,

I may need to lighten it up-- colors tend to show up way brighter on my work computer. This is all digital-- with traditional sketch of course-- made to look paintly. I was really going for looseness like in Franzetta's work and I took a lot of inspiration from his choice of colors too

Absolutely incredible illustration... I love the facial expressions on both subjects. Extremely well balanced and the contrasting colors compliment each other very well. Wonderful job. Thanks for sharing your art.
