Finished! I uploaded it once, took it down and did major touch ups on it :D Two days to paint this for a homework assignment that turns out to actually be do next week >_< At least I got it out the way. Hope you enjoy!

By the way, this is a city in my roleplay. They are floating islands *I LUFFS FLOATING ISLANDS* that go from sea level to mid air and up into the clouds. It's a cool city--very humid :D!

Soooooo gorgeous. I have a huge passion for clear blue/green waters... and I love this idea. Though I wouldn't be able to cross that bridge if you drugged me @__@;

I used Adobe Photoshop CS2. I caught on to Photoshop quite a few years back when I first got into comics and I wanted to go for that style (we have that in common, but as you can see I've branched off from that). I started with a sketch and I painting over it in photoshop, used a little photo manipulation to get some of the finer details and some 3d rendering. I completed this in two days-- one of my first class assignments for this semester. Are you trying to get into doing backgrounds?
